Nestled in the heart of Melbourne, Entrecôte exudes European charm from every corner. The interior seamlessly blends elegance with warmth, offering four distinct dining areas to choose from. We opted for the Brasserie with it’s beautiful 1920’s Parisian allure – a relaxed alternative to the upstairs dining room.
One of the first things that struck me about Entrecôte was the authenticity of the experience. From the décor to the menu and even the waitstaff, everything felt like a slice of Europe right in the heart of Melbourne.
To start, we indulged in a glass of champagne, and accompanying our drinks was a basket of complimentary warm bread, served with beautiful butter.
For our entrée, we ordered oysters and spiced beef croquettes. Of course for our main we couldn’t go past the steak frites, which are legendary at Entrecôte for a reason. Cooked to perfection and served with a generous portion of fries, it did not disapoint! The broccolini and salad sides provided a refreshing contrast to the rich flavours of the steak, rounding out the meal beautifully.
Of course, no French-inspired meal would be complete without dessert, and Entrecôte certainly delivered on that front. The crème brûlée was a standout – probably the best I have had – and the portion was large enough to share.
Throughout our lunch at Entrecôte, we were treated to impeccable service and an atmosphere that transported us to a charming brasserie in Paris. From the first sip of champagne to the last spoonful of crème brûlée, every moment was a celebration of fine European food and hospitality. If you’re looking experience a taste of Europe, or simply love French cuisine and interiors, look no further than Entrecôte. Bon appétit!
